RESPITE CARE

Respite care provides short-term, temporary relief for primary caregivers, allowing them to take a break from the physical and emotional demands of caregiving. It can be arranged for just an afternoon or several days or weeks, depending on the needs of the caregiver and the individual receiving care.

This type of care can be delivered in a variety of settings, including at home, in a healthcare facility, adult day centers, or residential care communities.

What Do Respite Care Nurses Do?

Caring for a loved one is deeply rewarding, but it can also be physically and emotionally demanding. At AC Nursing, we offer professional respite care services throughout the Greater Toronto Area to give family caregivers the time they need to rest, recharge, or attend to other responsibilities. Our trained and dedicated care professionals provide short-term care in the comfort of your home, supporting your loved one with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship.

Whether you need a few hours of relief or extended support, we’re here to help—so you can take a well-deserved break with peace of mind, knowing your loved one is in safe and capable hands.
